Personal and Family cover encrypted files, saved passwords, private emergency notes, a user-held Recovery Kit, and explicit Family and Direct sharing of selected files. Encrypted file uploads use MinIO storage.

No. Family membership is not permission to read your vault. You choose specific files to share with eligible family members. Passwords and private emergency notes are not automatically shared.

You request a share with a specific recipient. Direct access requires recipient consent and sharing setup, followed by activation by the file owner. It is not a public link or automatic access to the rest of your vault.

No. Recording an emergency contact or instructions does not release your vault. Use explicit file sharing when you want someone else to access a file.

A sign-in password reset restores account access, not decryption. You need your separate vault passphrase or Recovery Kit to unlock encrypted content. Essential Secure cannot bypass this encryption.

No. Paid checkout is unavailable while Stripe setup is deferred. Monthly and annual prices shown on the plans page are configured reference prices, not an active offer to charge you. Creating an account does not purchase a paid plan.
